"Bayside Sweetness" l 2021 l  - 24 x 34 inches - one of a kind  -  Suminagashi, Japanese Marbling & Photography, Ink on Archival Photo Paper in an Oak Frame.

Signed and Ready to Hang!

This is work from the "Ocean Auras" Collection. A collaboration with my husband photographer, Ben Kaller.

It represents our deep affinity for the sea and the joy we feel when in connection with nature.

Individually we share our own unique visions of this connection.

I co-create with the element of water using Suminagashi, an ancient Japanese marbling technique. With a paintbrush I drop ink on the surface of water, pooling together color stories and creating abstract formations that remind me of lifelong experiences on the oceanside.  I then captures the floating print by lying rice paper onto the ink.

Ben uses his camera to study the ocean from both on land and in the water.

Using his senses as a photographer and a surfer he observes the way, light, color and elements of life integrate with the dynamic energy of the coast.

Together we infused both of our visions to create "Ocean Auras".  The vibrant imagery pays homage to this natural sanctuary for us.  Ben prints these images on archival photo paper and then I hand marbles each piece creating one of kind collaborative works.

In honor of this place that has brought so much joy and healing to them and in keeping the beauty alive for future generations, we want to use this opportunity by donating a percentage of sales to

The Surfrider Foundation - which is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the worlds oceans, waves, and beaches for all people through a powerful activist network.
