About
The ocean has always played a distinct role in Kathleen Kaller’s world. As a child, the shores of Cape Cod provided creative ground where Kathleen wed her inner artist with her love of the ocean. She received a B.A. from Emerson College in Boston in film and art history. Kathleen honed her art and eye while living in the Netherlands and traveling throughout Europe. She continued her education and studied painting, textile design, art education and art therapy at Otis College in LA.
Now it is on the West Coast that she paints voraciously and with an innocent abandon. She continues to find the ocean her muse while residing in the seaside town of Ventura, CA. The influence of water is clear in the shapes she paints and one- of-a-kind textiles she designs. Her connection to nature inspires her to give back to environmental causes.
KMOK (Kathleen Mary O'Connell Kaller) her artist signature, has become a passion project intertwining all her of loves of painting, textile design, nature and teaching.
Believing wholeheartedly in the therapeutic power of art, Kathleen teaches workshops as part of her artistry. When she’s not working on KMOK, you can find Kathleen exploring the seaside with her family or teaching Art workshops to all ages.
